Non abbiamo nemmeno avuto il tempo di pulire le vanghe e i piantabulbi dopo l'International Tulip Guerrilla Gardening Day, che gia' si profila all'orizzonte la festa che, in un certo senso, chiude l'anno guerrigliero: la Giornata Nazionale del Guerrilla Gardening Italiano.
Nata nel 2011 con lo scopo di mobilitare, in una gigantesca azione corale, tutti i giardinieri d'assalto del Belpaese, si celebrera', per la terza volta, il 4 novembre.
Le scorse edizioni sono state dei meravigliosi successi, che speriamo di ripetere.
La data non e' casuale.
In Italia, il 4 novembre ricorre la vittoria dell'Esercito Italiano su quello Austro-Ungarico, giorno in cui termino', nel nostro Paese, la Prima Guerra Mondiale.
Da qualche anno, il 4 novembre viene ricordato ufficilamente come la Giornata delle Forze Armate e dell'Unita' Nazionale.
In effetti, fu proprio durante la Grande Guerra che il Siciliano combatte' a fianco del Piemontese. Le trincee, unirono per la prima volta il Paese.
Noi giardinieri sovversivi d'Italia abbiamo deciso di riappropriarci, in modo pacifico, di questa festa, liberandola dalla retorica militare fatta di parate, muscoli in mostra e ricordi dolorosi.
Siamo un esercito. Un esercito verde, armato di zappe e rastrelli, di bombe di semi e sacchi di terra. E siamo presenti in ogni regione, dal nord al sud, da est a ovest, isole comprese.
Useremo le vanghe, ma non per scavare trincee.
Festeggeremo a modo nostro: piantando alberi e fiori, interrando bulbi, recuperando aiuole altrimenti abbandonate a se stesse.
Ancora una volta, rivolteremo terre e coscienze.
Contro tutte le guerre del mondo, l'unica guerra possibile e' quella contro il degrado.

We haven't even had time to clean our spades and bulb planters after the International Tulip Guerrilla Gardening Day, that already looms on the horizon the celebration that, in a sense, closes the year of a guerrilla: the National Italian Guerrilla Gardening Day.
Founded for the first time in 2011 with the aim to mobilize, in a massive concerted effort all italian guerrillas, will be celebrated for the third time, on November 4th.
Past editions were very successful and we hope to repeat.
The date is not accidental.

Infact, the trenches have linked the Country for the first time: it was in the trenches, during the Great War that the Sicilian fought alongside the Piedmontese.

We subversive gardeners of Italy we decided to reclaim , in a peaceful manner, this feast, freeing it from the military rhetoric made of parades, muscles shows and painful memories.
We are an army. A green army, armed with hoes and rakes, with seed bombs and topsoil bags. And we are located in every region, from north to south, from east to west , including the islands .
We will use spades, but not to dig trenches.
We will celebrate in our own way: planting trees and flowers, burying bulbs, recovering neglected flowerbeds.
Again, we'll turn over soil and consciences.
Against all wars in the world, the only possible war is the one to neglect.
