Settimo: non rubare - Seventh: thou shalt not steal

Padre, perdonatemi perche' ho molto peccato.

*********************************
Father, forgive me 'cause I have sinned.
I stole some iris rhizomes from an abandoned house destined to collapse.
It has been easy, Father, 'cause the rhizomes aren't in depth: it was enough to pull a little, to take dozens.
But I did it for a good cause, Father.
I cleaned them and I have them buried in the flowerbed "Behind Enemy Lines".

Yes Father, I know: to persevere is hellish, but the sunflowers were now reduced to a pile of dried sticks and I did not have the heart to neglect that strip of land.
How many times, Father? Sixteen. Sixteen rhizomes.

Since this year I overdid it, Father, I thought of using plants that don't need much water, otherwise I won't be able to take care of my illegal flower beds as I should.

Now, if you can, absolve me.
If you can't .... well, the road to hell is paved with good intentions. And iris, I think.
