Riproviamoci! - Let's try again!

Comunque, meglio farsi trovare preparati.

 **************************
Autumn is a second spring, for unauthorized gardeners.
The frequent rains have softened the soil, and mild temperatures (more or less) give a second life to illegal flowers.
The zinnias sown in the spring, for example, are looking great.

And we'll have some important date, soon.
On 12th October will be the fourth International Tulip Guerrilla Gardening Day and, shortly thereafter, we'll celebrate the third National Guerrilla Gardening Day (November 4th).

In progress, there should be also  a new project: the "Poppies in Public", which I have already spoken in this post. At the moment, however, I don't have any other notice.

However, I'm getting ready.

Despite the misty rain, I started working on a few areas where I will bury tulip bulb. I also took the opportunity to try my new harrow.
Now I understand what my father in law meant when he told me:
"You like to do hard work".

Taking advantage of the softened soil, I easily pulled out some Jerusalem artichokes from my garden and I transplanted them along the wall of the former textile factory of Quarto Inferiore, given that the previous ones (planted in May during the operation "Topinambour Street") didn't survived.

I think it's an inhospitable soil: under a very soft first layer, there's a very compact one. In addition , there are many tunnels dug by mice (of which I do not know perfectly their tastes: will they eat even Jerusalem artichokes?). The lack of spontaneous vegetation makes me doubt on fertility of the area.

I hope that, sooner or later, it will come what is happening in the flower beds "Yellow Submarine" and "In the Name of the Son" :

Finally, this is the pot in front of the post office.
Tagetes have survived the transplanting while many grape hyacinths are popping up.
