Di nuovo al muro - Back to the wall

Per tornare a sentire il brivido del giardinaggio non autorizzato bastano pochi  gesti e una manciata di minuti.

Durante la stagione fredda (che, in effetti, non e' arrivata), i cinque gelsomini e le sparute pervinche dell'aiuola "Il muro del pianto" hanno dormito sotto una coltre di foglie secche.

Ho quindi rimosso tutte le foglie, arieggiato un po' il terreno e poi ho piantato una decina di altre pervinche, raccolte durante una passeggiata di ieri lungo al Via Calabria Vecchia.

Per finire, ho riposizionato il cartelluzzo e la recinzione che, secondo me, durante l'inverno e' stata piu' volte vandalizzata (i sospetti sono forti, visto che, a differenza di altri siti, i bastoni erano spezzati, il cartelluzzo strappato in due, i fogli di cartone della pacciamatura rimossi da sotto la coltre di foglie....).

Il risultato e' ancora piuttosto modesto, ma qui non posso correre troppi rischi aggiungendo piante grandi o costose, visto che si tratta di un'aiuola molto distante da tutte le mie fonti d'acqua.

Ho quindi riposto la mia fiducia in piante che non necessitino di frequenti annaffiature.

I needed just a few gestures and a handful of minutes to return to feel the thrill of unauthorized gardening.

During the cold season five plants of jasmine and few periwinkles of operation "The Wailing Wall" slept under a blanket of dry leaves.

I've removed all the leaves, digged a bit the ground and then I planted a dozen other periwinkles, harvested yesterday during a walk along the Old Calabria Street.

Finally, I repositioned the sign and the fence.

I think this bed has been vandalized many times, during winter: the suspicions are strong, because, unlike other sites, the sticks were broken, the sign has been torn and the sheets of cardboard placed to protect the roots of the jasmines have been removed from under the blanket of leaves....).

The result is still quite modest, but I can not take too many risks adding more valuable plants, here, given that it is a bed far from all my sources of water.

So I put my trust in plants that do not need frequent watering.
